  • "cyclic volume V of a volumetric meter" means the volume of gas corresponding to a cycle of operation of the meter, that is to say to the whole of the movements of the moving components of the meter at the end of which all these components except the indicator and the intermediate transmissions return, for the first time, to their original position. It is calculated by multiplying the value of the volume represented by a complete revolution of the test element, by the transmission ratio of the measuring device to the index counter.
  • volume of liquid corresponding to the working cycle of the measuring device, i.e. the sequence of movements at the end of which all the internal moving parts of this measuring device return, for the first time, to their initial positions
