28.03.00 Carbon, including carbon black, anthracene black, acetylene black and lamp black
What is the difference between acetylene black and other carbon blacks?
Acetylene black, a high-purity carbon black, is made from the thermal decomposition of petrochemically pure acetylene gas. It is a pure form of carbon containing at least 99.99% carbon and less than 0.05 ppm polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Most other carbon blacks, which are made from less pure feedstocks, contain much higher levels of impurities.
