  • Kasutatakse nosematoosi profülaktikaks, misläbi paraneb ka mesilaspere talvitumine. Lisatakse mesilaste sügisese täiendussööda hulka. Söödalahusele lisatud happed pärsivad nosemaeoste arengut ja sööda kristalliseerumist. Sidrunhapet võib lisada varakevadel ka mesilaste joogiveele 1 liitri kohta 1 g. Sügisesele täiendussöödale võib lisada sidrunhapet kuni 0,3 mg 1 kg suhkru kohta. Sidrunhape lisatakse jahutatud söödale vahetult enne selle kasutamist.
