Good to know
  • Mäestikes nõlvadel paiknev, ühest küljest avatud, järskude veerude ja nõgusa põhjaga amfiteatri kujuline orvand suudmega lumepiiri kõrgusel. Tsirkusoru põhi on suurema kulutuse tõttu nõgus ulatudes oru suudmest allapoole ning sesoonse sulamise tingimustes või lumepiiri kõrguse suurenedes (soojenemine) võib tsirkusoru põhja kujuneda väiksem mäestikujärv.
