  • gradueeritud klaastoru, mille ühes otsas on kraan, et tiitrimisel väljastada mõõtmisel saadud teadaolevaid vedeliku koguseid
  • graduated glass tube with a tap at one end, for delivering known volumes of a liquid, especially in titrations
bürett
Usage examples
  • Büretti kasutatakse analüütilises keemias vedeliku, eriti tiitrimisel oleva reaktiivi täpseks väljastamiseks. Selleks on büretitorul gradueeritud märgid, mille abil saab mõõta vedeliku väljastatud mahtu.
Good to know
  • Bürett on pikk gradueeritud klaastoru, mille alumises otsas on korkkraan ja korkkraani väljalaskeavas kitsenev kapillaartoru. Vedeliku voolu torust büreti otsa reguleerib korkkraaniklapp.

Usage examples
  • A burette is used in analytical chemistry for the accurate dispensing of a liquid, especially of one of the reagents in a titration. The burette tube carries graduated marks from which the dispensed volume of the liquid can be determined.
Good to know
  • A burette is a long, graduated glass tube, with a stopcock at its lower end and a tapered capillary tube at the stopcock's outlet. The flow of liquid from the tube to the burette tip is controlled by the stopcock valve.
