Jõudluskontrolli ülesandeks on lihaveiste jõudlusnäitajate pidev arvestamine ning lihakeha kvalitatiivne hindamine. Lihaveistel hinnatakse kehamassi 200 ja 365 päevaselt ning realiseerimisel, samuti lihakehasaagist, viljakust jm. Jõudluskontrolli andmed on aretustöö aluseks ja selle järgi teostatakse lihaveiste valikut.
