attitude indicator
artificial horizon
  • õhusõiduki piki- ja põikikallet näitav riist
  • mõõteriist, mis näitab horisondi tegelikku asendit ning lennuki piki- ja põiktelje kallet horisondi suhtes
  • an instrument which uses an artificial horizon and miniature airplane to depict the position of the airplane in relation to the true horizon. The attitude indicator senses roll as well as pitch, which is the up and down movement of the airplane’s nose.
Good to know
  • Valdkond ICAO lisade põhjal loodud klassifikaatori järgi: Lennutegevus
aviohorisont
Usage examples
  • Lendudel instrumentaallennureeglite kohaselt peab õhusõiduki varustuses sisalduma: ... 6) aviohorisont, kopteri puhul kolm aviohorisonti, millest üks võib olla asendatud pöördenäitajaga; ...
  • Aviohorisont näitab lennuki asendit maa horisondi suhtes. Hele poolring kujutab taevast, tume maad. Keskel asuv punkt kujutab lennuki nina ja kaks jämedat valget joont lennuki tiibu. Horisontaalse otselennu ajal asuvad nina ja tiivad joonel, mis kujutab horisonti. Lennuki külgkallet on võimalik täpsemalt lugeda instrumendi ülaservast.
attitude indicator
Usage examples
  • The attitude indicator, or artificial horizon, is one of the most essential flight instruments. It gives the pilot pitch and roll information that is especially important when flying without outside visual references. The attitude indicator operates with a gyroscope rotating in the horizontal plane. Thus, it mimics the actual horizon through its rigidity in space.
artificial horizon
Usage examples
  • All aeroplanes when operated in accordance with the instrument flight rules, or when the aeroplane cannot be maintained in a desired attitude without reference to one or more flight instruments, shall be equipped with: ... f) an attitude indicator (artificial horizon); ...
attitude indicating instrument
Usage examples
  • All aeroplanes of a maximum certificated take-off mass of over 5 700 kg newly introduced into service after 1 January 1975 shall be fitted with an emergency power supply, independent of the main electrical generating system, for the purpose of operating and illuminating, for a minimum period of 30 minutes, an attitude indicating instrument (artificial horizon), clearly visible to the pilot-in-command.

artificial horizon
  • lennumõõtevahend, mis teavitab pilooti õhusõiduki orientatsioonist Maa horisondi suhtes ja annab kohe märku väikseimast orientatsioonimuutusest
  • flight instrument that informs the pilot of the aircraft orientation relative to Earth's horizon, and gives an immediate indication of the smallest orientation change
lennu orientatsiooninäitur
Usage examples
  • Miniatuurne õhusõiduk ja horisondiriba lennu orientatsiooninäituril piloodi kabiinis jäljendavad õhusõiduki suhet tegeliku horisondi suhtes ning see on esmane lennuvahend instrumentaallennu meteoroloogilistes tingimustes.

Usage examples
  • The miniature aircraft and horizon bar mimic the relationship of the aircraft relative to the actual horizon, and it is a primary instrument for flight in instrument meteorological conditions.
