By way of derogation from Articles 62 and 66 of the Staff Regulations, Laboratory Technicians appointed to Grade B 5 receive remuneration on the scale for Grade B 5 extended by four steps: each new step following the fourth is calculated by adding to the preceding step the two-yearly increment for that grade.
