Eesti on Maailmapanga (sh. IBRD, IFC, MIGA, ICSID) ja IMF´i liige alates 1992.
Terminit "Maailmapank" kasutatakse üldjuhul "Maailmapanga Grupi " tähenduses, kuid seda kasutatakse kõnekeeles sageli ka IBRD või IDA tegevusele viidates. Seetõttu peetakse IBRD-d ja Maailmapanka tihti üheks ja samaks asjaks.
