  • kindlustusvõtja ja kindlustusandja vahel sõlmitud kokkulepe, mille järgi peab kindlustusandja kindlustusjuhtumi korral hüvitama kindlustusjuhtumi tagajärjel tekkinud kahju või maksma kokkulepitud rahasumma või täitma lepingu muul kokkulepitud viisil. Kindlustusvõtja kohustub tasuma kindlustusmakseid.

  • Kindlustuslepingu mõiste. Kindlustuslepinguga kohustub üks isik (kindlustusandja) kindlustusjuhtumi toimumisel hüvitama kindlustusjuhtumi tõttu tekkinud kahju või maksma kokkulepitud rahasumma ühekordselt või osadena või täitma lepingu muul kokkulepitud viisil (kindlustusandja täitmise kohustus).
