  • Slow Aviation Assets Flight Routes (SAAFR) are established to route slow moving aircraft in support of ground operations. They may be established by any component, and, when approved by the JACC, a matrix may be created, as depicted in Figure 3. However, SAAFR will normally be developed through direct co-ordination between the appropriate agencies within the Land Component Command (LCC) such as the CAME/DAME, AOCC (L) and ACA or delegated agency. SAAFR will be activated and deactivated as operational requirements dictate.
  • The SAAFR is an ACM established below the CL to facilitate movement of slow-moving aircraft in the forward area in direct support of ground operations.
