OR-9: Most experienced NCO leader within the NATO NCO structure. Uses enhanced leadership skills and broad experience in a greater capacity to successfully implement planning and management for collective mission accomplishment. Advises staff element, instructs and mentors subordinates, coordinates and supervises training. Monitors unit effectiveness and upholds standards. The OR9 serves as a role model for all NCOs/ ORs.
