... seoses Euroopa ehitustoodete määruse (CPR) täieliku rakendamisega 1. juulist 2013 muutus ka ETA-de süsteem. Euroopa tehnilisi hinnanguid (ETA e European Technical Assessment) nimetati enne seda tehnilisteks heakskiitudeks (ETA e European Technical Approval).
"Heakskiit" ja "tunnustus" on mõlemad tarvitusel. Ehitustoodete direktiivi tõlgendusdokumentides on kasutatud "Euroopa tehniline tunnustus". Seda antakse välja 'guideline''de ehk eesti keeles "Euroopa tehnilise tunnustuse suuniste" põhjal.
In order to allow a manufacturer of a construction product to draw up a declaration of performance for a construction product which is not covered or not fully covered by a harmonised standard, it is necessary to provide for a European Technical Assessment.
The European Technical Assessment shall include the performance to be declared, by levels or classes, or in a description, of those essential characteristics agreed by the manufacturer and the TAB receiving the request for the European Technical Assessment for the declared intended use, and technical details necessary for the implementation of the system of assessment and verification of constancy of performance.
Manufacturers and importers may use European technical approvals issued in accordance with Article 9 of Directive 89/106/EEC before 1 July 2013 as European Technical Assessments throughout the period of validity of those approvals.
