  • (1) Euroopa vahistamismäärus on Euroopa Liidu liikmesriigi pädeva õigusasutuse tehtud taotlus teisele Euroopa Liidu liikmesriigile isiku kinnipidamiseks, vahi alla võtmiseks ning loovutamiseks kriminaalmenetluse jätkamise või jõustunud kohtulahendiga mõistetud vangistuse täideviimise eesmärgil.

  • (1) ‘European arrest warrant’ means a request addressed by a competent judicial authority of a Member State of the European Union to another Member State of the European Union to arrest a person, to commit them in custody, and to surrender them so that criminal proceedings can be continued or so that a sentence of imprisonment imposed by a judicial disposition that has entered into effect can be carried out.
