The Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) is of the utmost importance to Headquarters Eurocorps (HQ EC). The aim of this evaluation is twofold: 1. Every three years a NATO assigned High Readiness Force (HRF) unit has to be evaluated. 2. Before their stand by period a NATO Response Force (NRF) earmarked unit has to be certified. In a first phase HQ Eurocorps exchanged info with Force Command Heidelberg. During the second phase inspections in Strasbourg were executed followed by the currently conducted evaluation (21-24 March 10) in Camp Valdahon. 174 checklists with in total 1348 performance measures have to be controlled. In a third phase an after action/evaluation report is send to SHAPE. The final goal is to obtain from Joint Force Command Brunssum the statement that HQ EC is NRF LCC combat ready.
