The programme for the conversion of the varieties Mavra, Tsebelia, Forchheimer, Havanna IIc and hybrids of Geudertheimer to other varieties of tobacco or to agricultural crops other than tobacco must enable the quantities of such tobacco produced within the framework of the maximum guaranteed quantities to be reduced to the level of the specific guarantee thresholds fixed from the1993 harvest.
The purpose of the aid granted under this Regulation shall be to assist the man-made fibres industry to finance: ...
- conversion investments carried out by industrial undertakings operating in the man-made fibres sector for the purpose of changing to types of activity other than the production of man-made fibres for textile purposes;
