(1) Töövahend on masin, seade, paigaldis, transpordivahend, tööriist või muu tööks kasutatav vahend. Töövahendi kasutamine – sellega töötamine, selle käivitamine, seiskamine, transport, teisaldamine, paigaldamine, parandamine, seadistamine, hooldus ja puhastamine – ei tohi ohustada töövahendi kasutaja ega teiste isikute tervist ning töö- ja elukeskkonda.
