(2) Toidu tehniline kirjeldus käesoleva seaduse tähenduses on igasugune toidu omadusi ja valmistamist kirjeldav dokument, mis sisaldab toidu kohta järgmisi andmeid: 1) nimetus; 2) valmistoodet ja selle koostisosi iseloomustavad näitajad; 3) kasutatavad tehnoloogilised võtted, eelkõige need, mis on olulised toidu ohutuse seisukohast; 4) nõuetekohasuse hindamise meetodid; 5) pakendi ja toidualase teabe kirjeldus; 6) veo- ja säilitamistingimused.

(2) For the purposes of this Act, ‘technical description of food’ means any document which describes the properties and preparation of the food and contains the following information concerning the food: 1) the name; 2) the properties of the finished product and of the ingredients thereof; 3) the manufacturing process used, above all, the aspects which are significant for food safety; 4) the methods of assessment of compliance with the requirements; 5) the description of the packaging and food information; 6) the transportation and storage conditions.
