(1) Ülevaatus käesoleva seaduse tähenduses on kindlustandev audiitorteenus, mida osutatakse kooskõlas käesoleva seaduse § 46 alusel kehtestatud või kinnitatud ülevaatamise teenuse standarditega. (2) Ülevaatuse objekt on kliendi vastutava organi poolt sobivate kriteeriumide alusel koostatud möödunud perioodide rahandusinformatsioon. (3) Ülevaatuses on audiitorteenuse osutaja eesmärgiks võimaldada kogutud tõendusmaterjali põhjal vandeaudiitori aruandes avaldada ettenähtud kasutajale üldistavas eitavas vormis ülevaatuse kokkuvõte.
