(1) Märke tähendus on tööstusomandi seaduse, rahvusvaheliste kokkulepete või nende alusel kehtestatud õigusaktidega määratud andmetel asjaolude kohta, mida taotluse menetlemisel või registritoimingute tegemisel peab arvesse võtma või mida registripidaja peab vajalikuks üldistes huvides avalikustada.
