(1) Karantiin on eriti ohtliku nakkushaiguse haiguskoldest väljapoole leviku vältimiseks või tõkestamiseks kohaldatav: 1) viibimiskeeld korrakaitseseaduse tähenduses; 2) isikute, kaupade ja sõidukite teatud territooriumil liikumise või sellelt lahkumise piirang või 3) teenuste osutamise piirang.
