(1) Kaubaturg on hinna, kvaliteedi, tehniliste omaduste, realiseerimis- ja kasutustingimuste ning tarbimis- ja muude omaduste poolest ostja seisukohalt omavahel vahetatavate või asendatavate (edaspidi asendatavate) kaupade käibimise ala, mis hõlmab muu hulgas kogu Eesti territooriumi või selle osa.
