(1) Kontrollmärgis on väärismetalltootele kantav alaline märk, millega väärismetalli proovi standardproovile vastavuse tõendamise valdkonnas tegutsev äriühing (edaspidi väärismetalli proovi tõendaja) tõendab, et väärismetalltoote valmistamiseks kasutatud väärismetalli proov vastab standardproovile.
