  • (1) Audit käesoleva seaduse tähenduses on kindlustandev audiitorteenus, mida osutatakse kooskõlas käesoleva seaduse § 46 alusel kehtestatud või kinnitatud auditeerimise standarditega. (2) Auditi objekt on kliendi vastutava organi poolt sobivate kriteeriumide alusel koostatud möödunud perioodide rahandusinformatsioon. (3) Auditis on audiitorteenuse osutaja eesmärgiks võimaldada kogutud tõendusmaterjali põhjal vandeaudiitori aruandes avaldada ettenähtud kasutajale üldistavas jaatavas vormis arvamust.

  • (1) For the purposes of this Act, an audit is an audit assurance service provided in adherence to the standards for auditing established or approved on the basis of § 46 of this Act. (2) An audit object is the historical financial information prepared by the responsible body of the client on the basis of the suitable criteria. (3) The objective of the provider of an auditing service in an audit is to express an opinion in a sworn auditor’s report in a generalised affirmative format to the prescribed user on the basis of the collected evidence.
