A hub and spoke operation utilises a central location hub with a number of subsidiary locations spokes that are resourced and supported from the central hub. For example, a central airport or seaport functions as a hub and is connected to smaller airports or seaports through the spokes. In certain cases a hub can also be a facility connected to LLOCs.
