Tingimused, mille alusel vastavaid mõõtevahendeid kasutatakse (nt veearvestite korral vee kvaliteet), võivad olla partii homogeensust määravate parameetrite hulgast. Standardis ISO 3534-2 on esitatud sellele terminile järgmine määratlus: „vaatlusaluse rühma valitud kaupade kontrollimine“.
The conditions under which the respective instruments have been used (e.g. water quality for water meters) may be amongst the parameters determining the homogeneity of the batch. ISO 3534-2 gives the following definition: “inspection of selected items in the group under consideration”.
