Kiirtoimiva arvestina määratletud arvestil peavad olema vähemalt järgmised täiendavad karakteristikud: reaktsiooniaeg max 6 s otseste pikkade temperatuuritajurite korral ja max 2,5 s otseste lühikeste temperatuuritajurite puhul; temperatuuriproovivõtuaeg ≤ 4 s (mitteeluhooned, nt meditsiinipraksis), ≤ 8 s (pereelamud, korterelamud/eluhooned); mahuproovivõtuaeg ≤ 2 s (mitteeluhooned ja pereelamud) ning integreerimisaeg ei tohi olla pikem kui maksimaalne temperatuuriproovivõtuaeg või mahuproovivõtuaeg.
A meter defined as “fast response meter” shall have at least the following additional specifications: response time max 6 s for direct long temperature sensors, and max 2,5 s for direct short temperature sensors; temperature sampling time interval ≤ 4 s (non-residential buildings, e.g. medical practice), ≤ 8 s (family houses, multi apartment / residential buildings; volume sampling time interval ≤ 2 s (non-residential buildings and family houses), and integration time shall not be longer than the maximum of the sampling time for volume or temperature.
