Usage examples
  • Rankine'i skaala on termodünaamilise temperatuuri absoluutne skaala, mis sai nime Glasgow' ülikooli inseneri ja füüsiku W. J. M. Rankine'i järgi, kes selle 1859. aastal välja pakkus. Kelvinite Rankine'i kraadideks teisendamisel on 1 °R = 5/9 K ehk 1 K = 1,8 °R. Temperatuur 0 K (−273,15 °C; −459,67 °F) on võrdne 0 °R-ga.

Usage examples
  • The Rankine scale is an absolute scale of thermodynamic temperature named after the University of Glasgow engineer and physicist W. J. M. Rankine, who proposed it in 1859. In converting from kelvin to degrees Rankine, 1 °R = 5/9 K or 1 K = 1,8 °R. A temperature of 0 K (−273,15 °C; −459.67 °F) is equal to 0 °R.
