Elaboration – "running of the blend" modifies it imaginatively. Elaboration is the simulated mental performance of the event in the blend, which we may continue indefinitely. Elaboration is the process whereby structure which emerges due to composition and completion can be further developed by virtue of a simulation in order to develop further new structure.
