[a plotpoint] at the end of the second act, [during which] an incident or event occurs that shifts the conflict of the plot and subplots in a new direction and substantially raises the stakes for the protagonist, making it much more difficult to achieve the goals of the plot and subplot. (Marks, 2009) [Second turning point] moves the action forward [from Act II] into Act III. It is a story progression, which usually occurs anywhere between pages 80 or 90 of the [110-120 pages] screenplay.
