insert (shot)
a [close] shot within a scene which calls our attention to a specific piece of [important] information such as a book, a watch or a calendar. (Grove, 2009) [Used in a shooting script] as a scene heading. Written in all caps. It is followed by 'Back to scene' - or a new scene heading.
