The provisions of Article 19 of the Convention of 26 May 1997 on the Service in the Member States of the European Union of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters shall be applied instead of the provisions in paragraph 1 if the document instituting the proceedings had to be transmitted abroad in accordance with that Convention.
