As one of the fascinating ways to help people, social group work has been practised by social workers in various settings ranging from schools to correctional institutions. Doing social work with people at the group level calls for an integrated mastery of group process theory and group intervention theory on the part of the social group work practitioner: this course, therefore, aims at facilitating students to learn how to make good use of group process dynamics to achieve social work objectives.
