In the pigmeat sector, in order to stabilize markets and to ensure a fair standard of living for the agricultural community concerned, provision should be made for measures to facilitate the adjustment of supply to market requirements and for intervention measures; whereas the latter may take the form of buying in by intervention agencies. ... The intervention agencies designated by the Member States shall take intervention measures under the conditions laid down in Articles 5 to 7. ... Disposal of products bought in by the intervention agencies in accordance with Articles 3, 4 and 5 shall take place in such a way as to avoid any disturbance of the market and to ensure equal access to goods and equal treatment of purchasers.
