legitimation - the making legitimate or lawful that which was not originally so; especially the statutory procedure of legalizing (legitimating) the status of an illegitimate child. Such is usually necessary to assure inheritance rights to child.
legitimated child - natural child who aqcuires the status of a legitimate child following the marriage of his or her parents

C = adopted child.
D = natural child (if the form is completed for a male worker, the natural children must be mentioned only if the paternity or the worker's obligation to maintain them has been officially recognized)
