Low-level SIGWX forecasts shall include: ... (2) the following elements in area forecasts for low-level flights: surface wind, surface visibility, significant weather phenomena, mountain obscuration, cloud, icing, turbulence, mountain wave and height of zero-degree isotherm.
Temperature is analyzed with isotherms which are lines of constant temperature. They are drawn as long dashed lines at intervals of 5° Celsius. They are given a two -digit label in whole degrees Celsius and are preceded with a + (positive) or – (negative) sign. The zero degree isotherm denotes the freezing level.
