The Union considers it imperative that all countries with an influence on the parties should exercise it in support of and in close coordination with the United Nations' peace efforts, and that the supply of weapons, munitions and other material for military use to the warring factions from outside Afghanistan, as well as the involvement of foreign military, paramilitary and secret service personnel, should cease.
