Detailed rules for agri-environment support should be based on the experience acquired under the support scheme established by Council Regulation (EEC) No 2078/92 of 30 June 1992(4), as last amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No 2772/95(5), and should in particular take into account existing rules established by Commission Regulation (EC) No 746/96(6), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 435/97(7).
