Lennundusvõistluse või avaliku lennundusürituse korraldamiseks, samuti lennuks, mille puhul ei ole võimalik järgida lennureegleid, või muuks erakordse iseloomuga lennuks peab olema Lennuameti ühekordne luba.
Alates 2004. a. aprillis jõustunud lennundusseaduse muutmise seadusest on lennundusseaduses kasutatud termini "lennuvõistlus" asemel terminit "lennundusvõistlus".
“Competition flight” means any flying activity where the aircraft is used in air races or contests, as well as where the aircraft is used to practice for air races or contests and to fly to and from racing or contest events.
a NOTAM shall be originated and issued whenever the following information is of direct operational significance: (...) air displays [and] air races (...)
