The Commission, having examined the objection raised in the light of scope of Directive 90/220/EEC and the information submitted in the dossier, has reached the conclusion that there is no reason to believe that there will be any adverse effects on human health or the environment from the introduction into Streptococcus thermophilus T102 of the gene coding for chloramphenicol-acetyl-transferase on the plasmid pMJ 763.
