Also known as a “computer incident response team,” this group is responsible for responding to security breaches, viruses and other potentially catastrophic incidents in enterprises that face significant security risks.
Member States shall ensure that their CSIRTs have access to an appropriate, secure, and resilient communication and information infrastructure at national level.
Member States should therefore ensure that they have well-functioning CSIRTs, also known as computer emergency response teams (‘CERTs’), complying with essential requirements to guarantee effective and compatible capabilities to deal with incidents and risks and ensure efficient cooperation at Union level.
