Moving transmission parts.
Guards designed to protect exposed persons against the risks associated with moving transmission parts (such as pulleys, belts, gears, rack and pinions, shafts, etc.) must be:
- either fixed, complying with requirements 1.4.1 and 1.4.2.1, or - movable, complying with requirements 1.4.1 and 1.4.2.2.A. Movable guards should be used where frequent access is foreseen.
