There shall be established a Committee on Aquaculture which shall be open to all members of the Commission and which shall: ... (c) oversee and guide work of the four networks created as a result of the activities of Medrap II and in particular by monitoring the progress, evaluating the proposed programmes of the various networks, and directing the work of the SIPAM network through the FAO Secretariat
SIPAM was conceived by FAO to facilitate aquaculture development by improving the flow of aquaculture information among the countries of the Mediterranean Basin.
