The Court of Auditors shall provide the European Parliament and the Council with a statement of assurance as to the reliability of the accounts and the legality and regularity of the underlying transactions which shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Good to know
The name of the Official Journal is currently Official Journal of the European Communities, but it is designed to be changed by the Treaty of Nice (Art. 2 Nr 38 - modifying Art. 254 European Community Treaty - changes the denomination from "Official Journal of the European Communities" to "Official Journal of the
European Union"). This modification will come into force with the entry into force of the Treaty of Nice.
