calibration graph
Usage examples
  • Calibration graph. Pipette 0, 0,25, 0,5, 0,75 and 1,0 ml of apo carotenic ester standard solution (4.1.2) into five 100 ml volumetric flasks. Dilute to volume with petroleum spirit (4.2) and mix. The approximate concentrations of the solutions range from 0 to 2 ig/ml and are calculated accurately by reference to the concentration of the standard solution (4.1.2) (W.P)/100 mg/ml. Measure the absorbances at 440 nm against a petroleum spirit (4.2) blank. Plot the values of absorbance on the y axis against apo carotenic ester concentration on the x axis.

  • graphical expression of the relation between indication and corresponding measurement result
  • portion of the co-ordinate plane, defined by the axis of indication and the axis of results of measurement, which represents the response of the measuring instrument to differing values of the measurand
kalibreerimisgraafik preferred
Usage examples
Good to know
kalibreerimisdiagramm
calibration diagram
Usage examples
  • A calibration diagram is the strip of the plane defined by the axis of the indication and the axis of measurement result, that represents the relation between an indication and a set of measured quantity values. A one to-many relation is given, and the width of the strip for a given indication provides the instrumental measurement uncertainty.
Good to know
  • Alternative expressions of the relation include a calibration curve and associated measurement uncertainty, a calibration table, or a set of functions.
