  • Eesti Standardimis- ja Akrediteerimiskeskus alustas tööd 1. aprillil 2000 tehnilise normi ja standardi seaduse🡭 (RT I 1999, 29, 358) alusel. Kuni 31.12.2020 tegutses ühing Eesti rahvusliku standardiorganisatsioonina nime all MTÜ Eesti Standardikeskus. Alates 01.01.2021 lisandus ühingu teenuste hulka akrediteerimisteenuste pakkumine ja tegutsemine riikliku akrediteerimisasutusena. Akrediteerimistegevused võttis ühing üle Sihtasutuselt Eesti Akrediteerimiskeskus. Nimetatud muudatusega seoses on alates 01.01.2021 ühingu nimi Mittetulundusühing Eesti Standardimis- ja Akrediteerimiskeskus.

  • The Estonian Centre for Standardisation and Accreditation commenced operations on 1 April 2000 pursuant to the Technical Regulations and Standards Act (RT I 1999, 29, 358). Until 31 December 2020, the organization operated as Estonia’s national standards body under the name NGO Estonian Centre for Standardisation. As of 1 January 2021, the provision of accreditation services and the role of the national accreditation body were added to the organization's services. The organization took over accreditation activities from the Estonian Accreditation Centre Foundation. In connection with this change, the organization’s name has been the Non-profit Association Estonian Centre for Standardisation and Accreditation since 1 January 2021.
