Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation
  • carbon offsetting scheme with the objective of stabilising net emissions from international aviation at 2020 levels through the purchase and cancellation of international credits
Это интересно
  • At the 39th Session of the ICAO Assembly, ICAO Member States decided to implement the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), the first global market-based measures scheme in any sector, to address the increase in total CO2 emissions from international aviation above the 2020 levels (Assembly Resolution A39-3).

  • Rahvusvahelisest lennundusest tuleneva süsinikdioksiidi vähendamise ja kompenseerimise skeemiga (CORSIA) püütakse CO2 heitkogused 2020. aastaks stabiliseerida, mille saavutamiseks nõutakse lennuettevõtjatelt pärast 2020. aastat nende heitkoguste kasvu kompenseerimist. Lennuettevõtjad peavad hakkama kõigil rahvusvahelistel marsruutidel heitkoguseid seirama, neist aru andma ja kompenseerima hõlmatud marsruutide heitkogused vastavate heitkoguste ühikute ostmise läbi, mis tekivad teistes sektorites heitkoguseid vähendavate projektide eluviimise teel (nt taastuvenergia).

  • With the adoption of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) by the 2016 Assembly, ICAO has placed international aviation on the cutting edge of climate policy. CORSIA represents the first example of an international, sector-wide market-based approach to greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

Примеры
  • Climate change is a global problem, which requires global efforts. The CORSIA is a global scheme for the global international aviation industry. The more States join the CORSIA, the more emissions are covered by the scheme (higher environmental integrity is achieved). Each State participating in the CORSIA brings us closer to meeting the ICAO global aspirational goal of carbon neutral growth from 2020.
