(1) Kindlustustegevus on kindlustuslepingu alusel kindlustusvõtja või kindlustatu kindlustusriskide ülevõtmine ja kindlustusjuhtumi toimumise korral kahju hüvitamine, kokkulepitud rahasumma maksmine või lepingu täitmine muul kokkulepitud viisil.
