(2) Kaitseväekohustuslane on: 1) kutsealune; 2) 18–60-aastane meessoost isik; 3) kaitseväekohustuse võtnud üle 18-aastane isik; 4) tegevteenistuses olev üle 60-aastane isik, kes ei ole ületanud piirvanust; 5) piirvanuse ületanud tegevväelane, kes on Vabariigi Valitsuse või valdkonna eest vastutava ministri nimetataval ametikohal, kuni ametikohalt vabastamiseni.

(2) A person liable to national defence obligation is: 1) a call-up selectee; 2) a male person between the ages of 18 and 60 years of age; 3) a person over 18 years of age who has undertaken national defence obligation; 4) an active serviceman of over 60 years of age who has not exceeded the age limit; 5) an active serviceman who has exceeded the age limit, and who is serving in the post appointed by the Government of the Republic or a minister in charge of the policy sector until the release from the post.
