(1) Atesteerimine on akadeemilise töötaja töötulemuste ja ametikohal esitatavatele nõuetele vastavuse perioodiline hindamine, mille eesmärk on toetada töötaja arengut ja karjäärivõimalusi ning millega määratakse kindlaks atesteeritava töötaja sobivus ametikohale.
